Consumed

We’re past language now.
Past the careful lies you wore like discipline,
past the distance you pretended was strength.

I see it in you
the fracture, the slip,
the way your breath betrays what your mouth won’t say.

You’ve been holding it together for too long,
playing composed while something inside you
has been begging to be let loose.

So drop it.
The image, the control, the performance.

I don’t want the version of you that behaves
I want the one that aches,
the one that feels too much and hides it badly.

Give me that, and watch what happens
when I stop being gentle with your illusions.

And you will break
slowly at first, then all at once.
Not because I force it, but because you need it.

Because somewhere between the silence and the tension
you’ve already given in.
You just haven’t said it yet.

But your body will.
Piece by piece, you’ll forget the act,
forget the lines you practiced to stay in control,
until all that’s left is instinct
raw, unfiltered, impossible to hide.

And in that moment,
when there’s nothing left to protect,
you won’t want distance anymore…
you’ll want more.

More of the feeling, more of me, more of the loss,
until control stops feeling safe
and surrender feels like the only truth left.
