Regret

Nicholas Ilechie / / 2 min read

Regret is an emptiness that often kills us through life.

Whenever you have a plan, a dream, or a vision, there comes a time when you're faced with challenges that put you in difficult situations, forcing you to take some measure of risk.

Whether it’s trading, a career decision, business, investment, or life choices, when you're in such situations, it’s often best to do everything humanly possible to tackle those challenges as soon as they arise. If, in the end, it doesn’t work out for you, at least you’ll be satisfied knowing you gave it your best. But if you don’t, or if you make excuses, then it will surely haunt you forever.

You’ve probably had that trade you were so sure was a great buy, but because you got scared and doubted yourself, you didn’t take it. Then, a few days later, you stumble upon it only to see it running in massive profits.

The same goes for that business you wanted to start but never did, due to too many excuses, procrastination, or fear.

The fact is, life is never a straight line. Not everything will go as expected, and time is a real b*tch because it never waits for anyone and doesn’t care. It’s always better to fail early and try again than to delay or never try at all.

Today, I just want to implore you to learn to take your chances. If it works, great. If it doesn’t, well, see it as a lesson and move on.

Cheers, and have a great weekend.
