Live for Yourself

Nicholas Ilechie / / 2 min read

Just a piece of advice: learn to live your life for yourself, focus on you, and think for yourself.

If you live your life or draw conclusions based on what other people think, post, or share on social media, you’d be a fool and stupid.

Just because someone you admire posts a quote or writes their view of life doesn’t make it true or right. Countless times, many authors and preachers are found wanting in their own words and writings.

Just because they post funny stuff doesn’t make them funny. Many are sad, depressed, and going through a lot, yet they post the best of memes and the most hilarious content.

People only post or share what they want you to see.

Just because they post happy moments and good times doesn’t mean their life is like a bed of roses. People go through hard times and fight battles you could never imagine, and just because they don’t share those or talk about it doesn’t mean everything is perfect for them.

Learn to breathe and live your life.
We all have different paths to follow.
We all have different experiences.
We all have different definitions of success, peace, or happiness.
Don’t seek approval from others or make comparisons.
Find your own path, and if you can’t, then make one.

In all of this, never feel less of yourself or down just because you aren’t where you want to be yet.

Like they say, life is like a bitch—it fucks with us all, but we gotta keep going and keep on keeping on. ✌🏼
