Good Enough

Nicholas Ilechie / / 1 min read

She said she wasn't good enough,
I smiled wryly,
Good enough?

A concept of mere fallacy,
A mirage in the display,
An unattainable quest of the human mind, I said.

For the wants of mankind are insatiable
But the desires of the heart are reached by the contentment therein.
In the end, it doesn't matter if she was the lady of your dreams or the lady who couldn't make you sleep.

What matters is that you loved and you loved genuinely,
For we all are "works in progress"
on a pathway to perfection.
