Back to The Start

Was on a fast track I thought
With knowledge and wisdom, I reckon.
Running a thousand miles in the wrong direction.
Too fast too furious
I felt as though I was paving a pathway for my success.
Little did I know I was building a snow castle on a furnace.
Slowly slowly I was dying
How could this all be?
Where did I go wrong?
Efforts all wasted
Riches burnt to ashes
Fragment of myself I sought
Scared of my own thoughts
I've become my worst nightmare
Drifted off myself
My world crumbling
A lesson have I become to others
A tale of regret and foolishness.
Sadly,
Reality unfolds before me
A dream I'd hope this could all be.
Back to the start, I guess
My fears I must face
My world I must rebuild.
And I pray this time I do it right……
